If you don't have a Notion account yet, please sign up. Notion is a great tool that anyone can use conveniently and easily. And it's free to use basically.
I create “✚agtion”(called “tagtion”, means “tag”+”Notion”) for myself at first. I’ve tried out so many tools for log my journal before.(e.g. Evernote, Logseq, Obsidian, Roam Research, Reflect, Tana, Anytype, Capacities and more.) Each of these tools is unique and has its own pros and cons for me. I know they can be customized, of course. **The common thread was that I needed something simpler, easier, yet still look good and that I liked. So I create “✚agtion”. **I never thought it would be possible to achieve this with Notion.
Anyway, you want to try it asap, let’s copy (or move) below into your Page.
It’s really simple structure so if you are good at try out new app and service without so many explain, you can use it easily. But if you are not or don’t have opportunity to try some new one, you may see my explain below.
Notion give us limited AI feature for free user. As you all know, to use AI in the way you want, you have to pay for it. This is true for ChatGPT and Claude. There are free apps like Copilot and other third-party apps, but they are somewhat limited. The free version doesn't allow you to use it however you like.
“✚agtion” template has AI section for more capable and comfortable log journal life, but if you are free user, you will reach limit soon. Notion AI subscription is not required - you can do this for free just to keep a tag-based journal, but if you want more inspiration, you'll need Notion AI subscription. Don’t forget turn on the property option of Automatic update when editing a page
.
“✚agtion” has 3 default view options, List
, How do you feel
and Calendar
. These are 4 that I have carefully selected, and they are useful when you want to look back at your journal and use it for something, when you want to look at your journal from a new perspective, or when you want to look at your daily continuous log records.
